WHAT IS THE LEAST WE CAN BUILD ?
KIMS BIBI Cancer Center Expansion
Project: Addition of Multispecialty Center to Existing Oncology Center
Client: KIMS Bibi Healthcare
Project Scope: 30,000 sf Brownfield development – Phased Design, Architecture, Healthcare Planning, Interior Design, Consolidation of Surgical functions between both facilities.
Project Duration: 12 months
Project Status: Ongoing
Project Brief: While the Oncology Center caters primarily to “Arogyashree” patients the goal of the adjacent facility is to design a multispecialty hospital with a focus on providing a facility that caters to paid patients on the ambulatory front. The two adjacent buildings will also require consolidation of surgical services to be utilized by both functions. The success of this exercise is measured by the following:
-
The ability to maintain separation of traffic on the ambulatory front while providing efficiency by consolidating supporting functions as well as clinical functions
-
Maximizing bed counts on a floor plate that is very challenging in it’s shape and grid configuration.
-
Integrating the new exterior design with the existing building.
-
Utilizing materials that will help maintain the very tight budget of the project
-
Brand building with the new merger between Bibi Oncology and KIMS Healthcare
